There once was a time when I was a heavy smoker. Literally. I was obese and fat flowed through my veins. I was going to die soon. I was to become a statistical number. Of those killed by sedentarism. Then I discovered the bike. The bike saved my life. Now I ride. As fast as I can. The farthest my legs take me. Now are the endorphins that flow through my veins. Now I’m ready for my life’s ultimate adventure. When I get older, I’ll ride with my grandsons and tell them that our fate is what we choose to do with our lives. I’m an example of what our willpower can do. I started from zero to the Ronde van Vlaanderen’s finish line.
